For a while now, SMS delivery to phone numbers on DND has been impossible using the corporate route. During this time, customers with SIM Hosting could deliver to such numbers with their hosted SIM. Good news though! Corporate Route is now back with full delivery to phone numbers on DND.
It would interest you to know that this new delivery capabilities supports MTN, Airtel and 9Mobile GSM networks.
During negotiations with the network operators to get the corporate route up and running at full capacity, we were able to get a better route with optimized delivery without neither DND nor Sender ID restrictions. The SMS to these phone numbers delivers with your unique Sender ID.
Effective immediately, SMS delivery to MTN DND numbers will be at 2.5 units/SMS, Airtel DND numbers at 1.5 units/SMS, and 9Mobile DND at 1.5 units/SMS.
For customers with a hosted SIM, please note that this new development does not discontinue the SIM Hosting service, as you still have the options to decide which route will treat your DND numbers. And ofcourse, the other wonderful benefits of SIM Hosting are still there in full.
